Frank Kendralla > My first attempt at shooting a polo match. I have other images in my polo gallery from the shoot. It was a lot of fun. The dust was very thick making it difficult at times to obtain a sharp image. The sun was going down fast and my later shots are not as sharp. Darlington Polo Grounds in Darlington, PA
Frank Kendralla > Dangerous profession. We had a few trees cut down and this is one of the 'shorter' trees cut. A little too risky for my blood.
Frank Kendralla > 7.15.08 The combination of the strong color in the drums and around the drummer plus the contrasting silhouette from the guitarist presented a great opportunity for a picture.
Frank Kendralla > 7.14.08 Another image from the weekend's youth events. This was an experiment to create a very unique glow directly from the camera. No PP other than a slight crop. I have been experimenting more with shooting portrait versus landscape. It seems to create an interesting look.
Frank Kendralla > 7.13.08 From a youth event I shot over the weekend. The group "The Last Epic" played for the youth. I applied a B&W preset in Lightroom to come up with this effect. The light was very challenging and I timed the shot when the lights passed on the right side of the guitarist to create this dimensional shot.
Frank Kendralla > 7.12.08 One of many low light captures from a youth event I shot at our church. Victory Family Church in Cranberry Twp, PA. I was walking back to my car with both cameras in hand and I saw this great image developing. My D200's card was full and was in my left hand. All I could do was lift my D50 [with the 50mm f/1.8] to my eye and shoot. I couldn't steady the camera but I didn't want to miss the shot. I loved the shadows and the mood that was presented in the shot.
Frank Kendralla > 7.10.08 Last night the sky was beautiful and the clouds were filled with characters. Notice the dragon in the lower center portion of the sky. I adjusted the contrast in Lightroom some to emphasize the drama of the sky.
Frank Kendralla > June 7, 08 Boss 90+ pounds and still growing. Until my daughter and her husband bought boss, I never knew a Rottweiler could be so much fun. Big dog that rules! [and still growing]
Every time we visit, it reminds me of this 'joke'.
A man breaks into a house and hears some noises in the dark part of the room.
'Jesus is watching you.'
'Who said that'
'Me'
'Who is me?'
'Over here, my name is Moses.'
The robber looks to the side of the room and sees a parakeet.
'You are only a parakeet!'
'Yes, my name is Moses!'
The robber replies, 'Who would name their parakeet Moses?'
The parakeet replies, 'The same owner that would name their rottweiler Jesus.'

I laugh everytime I think of the joke. But then I think, God help the person that would attempt to harm my daughter. Boss is like her shadow. 'Me and my shadow!' :-)
Frank Kendralla > June 6, 2008. Bella, the little puppy from yesterday's picture. Isn't she cute? Hi! I am a Yorkie Poo.
