Lyn Foley > #N879: Another leaf necklace, but this one in fall tones of rust, red and yellow. Each glass leaf is painstakingly made on a copper hand formed "stem", then annealed in my kiln for strength and durability. After I made the leaves I strung them with pieces of natural Baltic amber as spacers. A truly unique necklace, about 20" long. When worn, the leaves fan out around the neck very pleasingly. I started making flower beads when the first wildflowers popped up in my field here in Round Top, and inspired me. I think this 19" necklace is my best so far. The handmade glass leaves I made as spacers fan out gracefully around the neck. Tiny quartz beads accent the lentils, and the necklace ends with my custom sterling silver signature clasp.
