Carole's paternal grandparents were Brad and Blanche (Emert) King. They had nine children, and when Blanche died in 1996, there were 31 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Needless to say there are plenty of photos from a family this size!

This is a great shot from that same summer: some of the King grandchildren in the back of Papaw's truck! Carole is being held in the middle of the photo, with her sister Debby looking down in front of her. By this point, daughter Charlotte had 7 children and we think they're all in this shot ... plus more!
