I primed that backside of the rear spar brackets & plates with rattle can primer from NAPA autoparts. Breaking out the 2 part primer and spray gun just isn't worth the effort. Beside, the final assembly itself will have a coat of primer as well. That's my 2 cents! FWIW I paid $7.32 for the rattle can primer. This is not a low cost alternative for major priming efforts.
