I am here because I love art and people. Photography is a great way for me to experience the two combined.

Over the years I’ve enjoyed many different professions and collected many varied skills; I bring all these life experiences to my photography. I joined the Navy at 17 and spent 11 years working as an engineman and traveling throughout the western hemisphere. Later I was a mechanic, owned and operated an auto repair shop, and built, raced and won with my race cars. I currently work as a registered nurse while actively pursuing photography as art.
I enjoy interacting with all sorts of people, and that delight comes through in my photography. Pretty faces are everywhere, and I like a pretty face as much as the next person, but a great attitude trumps a pretty face every time for me. My ability to find and capture a person’s unique attitude is what makes my portrait photography stand out.
I live in North Carolina, close to remarkable mountains, waterfalls, and other natural wonders that are the focus of many of my photographs. I often hike with my camera to capture the beauty and solitude of nature. But I also have an affinity for man-made machines and structures; interesting architecture and motorcycles are a few of my favorite subjects.
I am currently available for private shoots of weddings, family gatherings, sport events, formal or informal portraits, bike rallies, parties or other memorable events, and artistic photography.
