Tendrel Photography Galleries > Bokar Rinpoche's kudong. As in this case, some Tibetan Lamas' bodies are specially prepared and preserved, rather than being cremated. The bodies are covered with clay after preserving them in salt for over a year. Then seated in meditation posture, the bodies (or kudong in Tibetan) are placed inside stupas.
