Saturday Trip to Wli Falls
Wli Falls is the largest waterfall in West Africa. Located northeast of Tema, it took approximately 3-hours to reach the Falls because of several stops on the way. Wli Falls is in a rain forest, near the Togo border. There are two separate waterfalls, the Larger Falls and the Lower Falls. We walked to the Smaller Falls, following a tour guide.

 > Lunch before Our Trek to the Falls: A German family owns this small hotel and restaurant. We were seated for lunch under a canopy. The rain forced us to retreat inside the hotel, to a small dining room.
 > Because of the rain, only nine of us decided to walk to the falls. The tour guide found rain coats for some of us.
 > We walked on a dirt road through a rainforest to reach the Lower Falls. The tour guide stopped to show us how to shell a cocoa nut.
