Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > New evidence that reindeer can outrun elves

(Dec. 16) I was going to use this as a smugmug christmas card, after taking it from a card I thought I would print myself, but the finished photo is too small for printing. I'm too lazy right now to go back to the original and recreate it for printing, so I'm posting it instead as a card to y'all. Season's Greetings and may you run swiftly through the challenges of the new year (or at least faster than others).

P.S. This is not a slight on the smugmug cards at all, just my energy level. If you haven't checked the create-a-card feature out yet, give it a go! It's super easy and the site has some fun options. I did order two other sets from more pixel-full shots.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Small bird, big world

(Dec. 15) Went looking for hawks and found this little guy.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Long gone

(Dec. 14) I went looking for a bobcat behind campus, but all I found was this track along what I think is one of the cat's trails.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Seasonal spikes to you

(Dec. 13) Blue evening light in the UCR Botanic Garden.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Caught having fun

(Dec. 12) Sneak attack of the camera to get a shot of a friend in a moment of unselfconscious fun during Aikido tonight.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > From one generation to the next

(Dec. 11) Starting Car Appreciation 101 early.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Hidden Dragon, Crouching Tiger

(Dec. 10) It's mixed martial arts night every night here. Gypsy Rose fights dirty, and Jim lost some blood.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Sunbath

(Dec. 9) No matter how one looks at them, a cormorant is an ungainly looking bird. It was cold and windy out today, and this guy was enjoying some sun on the sheltered side of an island at the Rancho Jurupa Park fishing pond.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Mount Rubidoux

(Dec. 8) I'm not much of one for landscapes, but the light was irresistable today. This is Mount Rubidoux, seen from the Martha McLean-Anza Narrows Park. The greenery is part of the Santa Ana Riverbottom, the river that Riverside is by the side of.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Mine, all mine

(Dec. 7) I don't think this jay was into sharing.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > I see shiny things

(Dec. 6) I finally had a chance to process a photo from the John Force car show last Sunday. Of course I went for the shiniest one first.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Welcome to leaving

(Dec. 5) Spent half my day in a building giving presentations with colleagues about our academic programs and the next half driving home. This was taken from the back seat on the way back. I'll catch up with the DP community tomorrow.

Here's another one for fun:

Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > A losing battle

(Dec. 3) A less cozy shot. I'm more for dogs out of the kitchen and cats off the counter when I'm preparing something, Jim prefers to battle it out with the elements that be.

I'll be out of town for a few days and I don't know if I'll have internet access. See you all on the other side of the week.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Sunday morning, coffee, the paper, and a friend

(Dec. 2) The better shots were at the John Force car show today, but this one is Sunday morning for me. I'll share the shiny things shots later.
Andrea Kaus (ChaosGraphics) > Peace on Earth. Goodwill to Doves (and Electricity)

(Dec. 1) Okay, so I'm not a total scrooge. George threatened to appear as the Ghost of Christmas Past.
