Every year in Franklin, TN they have a weekend where all the merchants and townfolks dress up like in Charles Dickens era. It was a dreary drizzly day but everyone still had a ton of fun. My favorite is always the bell choir which is in my opinion world class. There are many other shows and demonstrations such as Celtic dancers, many street musicians, and the street dances which is always a huge favorite. It really does bring back times past seeing folks dressed in their finery enjoying the dance and comraderie. Several of the townfolk dress as characters from A Christmas Carol - two that I show here are Fagan, the leader of teh street urchins and the Ghost of Christmas past - these two have incredible costumes.
