The LPD 19.USS Mesa Verde.The 3rd San Antonio Class amphibious transport dock and the first ship of the United States Navy to be named for Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado.The ship is designed to deliver a fully equipped battalion of up to 800 Marines.The ship is 684 feet long,has a beam of 105 feet,and has a 23 foot draft.The ship is powered by four Colt Pielstick diesel engines with two shafts with 40,000 horsepower,and has a top speed of 22 Knots.
