This gallery contains pictures of the First and Second Legends Class Deep Water National Security Cutters.The ships bear the numbers WMSL(Legends Class Maritime Security Cutter,Large)- 750 and-751, and the names Bertholf after the first Commandant of the United States Coast Guard,and Waesche,the First Four Star Admiral of the U.S. Coast Guard.The ships are 418 ft.long and are the First Two of Eight being built at Northrop Grumman Pascagoula Shipbuilding,replacing the 378 foot Hamilton Class Endurance Cutters.,The DDG-105 Destroyer USS Dewey,The LHD-8 USS Makin Island,The LPD-19 USS Mesa Verde Amphibious Transport Dock,The DDG-103 USS Truxtun,Trent Lott,and a Bald Eagle.Photo's courtesy of Alan Hinkel Photography.Pascagoula,Mississippi.
