Kelby  > Cars > The BEAST > Rust Repair
Well here I am back working on this damn truck again.
I was planning on just putting down some sound deadening and replacing the carpet and a few other things, but of course when I removed the carpet I found rust.
So now I get to spend my weekends replacing the rocker panels and parts of the floor, and while I am this far into it I might as well go a head and prep it for paint.

Kelby > You can't see in the picture but I had to rewire part of the column to get everything to match up correctly.
Why can't anything ever just be easy?

Kelby > I started grinding on the floor to see how much of it I need to replace.
Most of it isn't too bad, so I will probably just hit it with POR15 and leave what I can.
Kelby > I also found some nice rust up on the windshield pillar.
I am real close to getting the point of just spraying the damn thing with primer or POR15 and ignoring the rust and beat the crap out of it like I originally planned and sell it cheap with I am done.
Kelby > Here are my new toys for working on the truck.
Now I just need to relearn how to use the damn thing.
Kelby > I was having a lot of trouble making nice welds on the body with the flux core wire.
So I spent more money and got a gas can.
All I have to say is money well spent, it makes much better welds and is much easier.
Kelby > I picked up the cart at Harbor Freight.
It works well and gives me more storage for my welding supplies.
I also found some nice rust up on the windshield pillar.
