Péter Luffi > WoGE #115

I solved Ron's WoGE #114 , so #115 is back to me. Hope there are newbies vulnerable to the WoGE virus out there, so here is what you have to do in the case you got infested: locate the feature (lat/long) and shortly describe it in geological terms. I guess it doesn't make sense to invoke Schott's rule anymore, or at least until desperate complaints/criticism will be expressed in this regard.
Péter Luffi > WoGE #113

Ron's WoGE #112, the meander-amidst-the-barley was quite scary, because it looked it can hide wherever in the middle of the vast North American agricultural nowhere, so I said, if I find it in 20 minutes, nice, if not, tough luck, I'll skip this one. Apparently I was lucky, because I actually started the random scan in... Canada, and ended pretty soon by finding it in my backyard, to quote Ron. And it was nice to take advantage of a Schott 's rule-free run, I think we should perpetuate this feeling for a while. So here's the next one. It is pretty easy and won't last long, so hurry! Feel the breeze of freedom, guys, again, no Schott's rule for today.
Péter Luffi > WoGE #111

BGC resolved WoGE #110 I posted in the name of the Thinkstart family. BGC hasn't a blog, so I agreed to host his challenge. Schott 's rule in effect. Posting time is 01:41 GMT, 2/15/2008
Péter Luffi > WoGE #110

Thinkstart's wife has identified my WoGE #109, but looking forward to a happy family event, they have no time to WoGE. She asked me to post the next challenge, so here we go again. Schott 's rule in effect. Posting time is 00:00 GMT, 2/10/2008
Péter Luffi > WoGE #109

Thinkstart's WoGE #108 was quite a challenge to me, because I haven't discovered any truly geological clue in it that could help me to avoid a nearly random search through the multitude of topographically and climatically reasonable areas. But I finally succeeded before others (btw., I'm wondering how many people are still playing), so here we go with the next one. What's this, where is it, and last, but not least, why is it? :-) Schott's Rule in effect. Posted 03:30 GMT, 2/04/08.
Péter Luffi > WoGE #107

Unlike some other players, I haven't encountered any problems displaying Thinkstart's WoGE #106 kindly hosted by ScienceWoman, and have quickly found the location on the Susquehanna River in the Ridge and Valley Province of the Appalachians. So here comes WoGE #107. What and where is this? Schott's Rule is still in effect, I hope the answer is not too simple so that veterans get a chance to play, too. Posting time is 06:25 GMT, 1/31/08.
Péter Luffi > WoGE #102

JMA's WoGE #101 is the Maliau Basin of Malaysia. It surely wasn't a 101 type WoGE though :) Now here's the new challenge. West is up. To win you have to locate and say something about the geology of what you see. Schott Rulez . Posting time is 3:20 GMT.
Péter Luffi > WoGE #100

Since there aren't too many active basaltic volcanoes around nowadays, it didn't take me long to solve WoGE #99 posted by The Lost Geologist. Now I have the privilege to come up with the next one. WoGE #100 features pretty cool geology (other photo sizes can be selected from the pop-up menu that appears when rolling the cursor over picture), the winner should provide beside long/lat some description, too. #100 is nice and round, thus earlier winners deserve a handicap cancellation for this challenge (i.e. Schott's Rule doesn't apply to this turn).
WoGE #115
