This series was installed on a very purple wall and what an impact in the eating area of the kitchen!
'The Anatomy of a Lime'
This custom painting is 44" tall and 60" wide. This project actually has 3 smaller square canvases that hang above this one. All 3 feature limes in different capacities. This bowl tested my patience with all the holes and circles of light but it was so worth it. The effect is wonderful and the reflections in the stainless were a lot of fun to do.
This piece was recently installed in a Desert Mountain Home in Scottsdale, Arizona (August 2006). The stainless steel fruit bowl was purchased by the homeowners and then used in the painting. It will sit on the counter adjacent to the artwork. The 4 canvas installation is aptly called 'Anatomy of a Lime".
A custom commission just finished in August of 2006. This canvas is 40" tall by 60" wide and will hang in it's new home in Carefree, Arizona. The claret cup cactus is beautiful when it blooms in the spring and now it blooms on canvas year round!
Italiano! Stainless steel is a favorite of mine to paint and this one tested me. Right down to the spaghetti reflection in the grater and the authentic Parmigiano Reggiano.
