Obama and Clinton took part in a nationally televised debate in Cleveland sponsored by MSNBC on February 26. Outside in the cold, NOAC and other peace people were there with signs and handouts. Our messages: There’s No Debate: End the Iraq Occupation & War NOW! No Debating This: Bring the Troops Home NOW! We were a presence to show the candidates, the Democratic Party, the nation and world that Clevelanders want an end to the foreign illegal occupation and war of Iraq NOW. Many from the Poverty Summit held at Trinity Cathedral earlier marched to the debate site as well, and at the last minute a busload of Serbian protestors arrive to add to the crowd.
