Here is my stress relief project that gives me the opportunity to learn a great deal about and American treasure (the jeep) and make some new friends along the way...

I picked up this Commando from the original owner for the right price - FREE - The plan so far is to do a complete body off overhaul. As I go, I'll see what condition everything is in and with any luck will have enough good parts left over to build back up a really nice street worthy trail rig. I know, I've heard that awesome trail rigs tend to be trailer queens, but I want something that I can drive to the trail and back again. This means, I'll have to push my skills as a fabricator and as a engineer. After all, that is what hobbies are for, right?

As I go through and do a complete tear down, I will be posting pictures of various parts that either I don't want to use in the build up or have accumulated along the way. If you don't see something your looking for, send me an e-mail and I'll see what I can do.
