karinaboese > Brighten My Day
Wed. July 30, 2008 (DAY 107)

I started to recognize my own pattern... If my DP comes from the office, it means I'm too busy, or tired, or lazy, or braindead, or don't care to find something else that might be more interesting.

BUT...today, my coworker decided to share her gladiols with me. Thanks Maureen!!! You brighten my long-tiring day!

It's weird that if I post my adjusted raw file, the exif (photo info) doesn't show on Smugmug...but you can see them on JPG version.
What's up with that?!?

(Adjusted = any simple post processing like straighten, contrast, crop)
karinaboese > Take me out to the ball game...
Tue. July 29, 2008 (DAY 106)

I'm wondering how many Reds' fans will down vote my shot.

We went to the ball game tonight. It was awesome! Got the dugout seats - right behind the homeplate.
Houston Astros' 6-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night. Wooohooooo...!

This shot is really nothing compare with Brian Hart's sport-action baseball photos (I always enjoy his son's baseball action shots)... There's a lot of noise too since I had to push it to 1600.
karinaboese > Horror Movie Mode
Mon. July 28, 2008 (DAY 105)

I love watching horror movie, but I always have to cover my face or mute the sound when it gets really scary.. or when I get really scared!!!

Now it's passed midnight... again, and I'm ready to face the Monday's horror.
karinaboese > Stinkin' Hot
Sun. July 27, 2008 (DAY 104)

Three weeks in a row, I keep telling my coworkers that "I'm going to finish my patio this weekend". I managed to move some of these red stones from the driveway to the back ...but it's been freakin' hot to do anything else in the garden. I even let weeds grow wild on my garden beds.

Don't feel like putting shoes on & step out from the back door. I cannot do hard-core stuff on the backyard with this pretty sandals, can I!?!

Oh boy... I'm getting old AND lazy!!!
karinaboese > Just Between You and Me
Sat. July 26, 2008 (DAY 103)

How was everything?
I got a lot of rest on Friday night...which I desperately needed.

This shot was taken at Roadster's Ice House where we had lunch... very peppery-burger! I had to cover the left side of their comment's card with napkin, so I can use this for my Daily's. Clever, eh!?!

Hope everybody had a good weekend!
karinaboese > One of Those Days
Fri. July 25, 2008 (DAY 102)

I posted this one on Thu. but I usually submit my Daily's a day ealier. So yeah... Happy almost Friday!

Dolly went easy on Houston. We got a lot of rain...but it's good for us! Thank you so much for asking.

Notes
* Mug says: Instant Human...Just add coffee!
* I got that baby pic from one of the chain-emails, so no, that's not my shot. I wished I knew who took this baby's shot so I could give him/her a credit.
karinaboese > Hey, Dolly... Be kind to Texas!
Thu. July 24, 2008 (DAY 101)

This shot was taken on Tue evening when I exit I-10.
Houston will not take a direct impact, but will feel its effects.

"The center of Hurricane Dolly is forecast to strike Brownsville, Texas. Dolly is expected to dump 15 to 20 inches of rain. The National Hurricane Center said some increase in strength is expected and Dolly could approach category 2 intensity as it reaches the coastline" - KPRC Houston
karinaboese > Rest In Peace
Wed. July 23, 2008 (DAY 100! WOOOHOOOOOO!!!)

What a blessing...
I've learned A LOT about photography since I joined this awesome community. All the comments that you guys made, the shots that you share, the fun & frustration that you put on your shots everyday... those are priceless to me. Thank you & BLESS YOU ALL!

I think I reached my photographic-enlightment today. Special thanks to Johnloguk for the sepia & framing instruction. Couldn't think of anything old/antique for today's shot, so I went to the cemetery near my office. It's nothing compare to John's antique postcard, but it's something new for me.

karinaboese > My Daily's World is on FIRE!
Tue. July 22, 2008 (Day 99.99)

ONE MORE DAY TO DAY 100!!!!!

Someone didn't want to spend any of her photographic capital on Day 99. Instead she was playing with CS3. She's pooling all of her creativity for Day 100 tomorrow!

...or she might be just plain lazy to pick up her camera today. Oooh pressure of the big day!

NOTE:
Nothing special about this. You can Google the free tutorial on "planet on fire - photoshop".
If I can do it, everybody can.
Rest In Peace
