Nunuvut (The Canadian Arctic)
The pictures begin with the pack ice breaking, melting and refreezing in the Hudson's Bay... taken from about 1000 feet above ground. Then you will see some pictres of Rankin Inlet (Nunuvut's second largest town). Finally - there is a long series of pictures from the High Artic. Located on the most Northern island in Canada is Ureka and Alert (population of about 4, zero long term). Closest town is Resolute bay 600 miles south (and has a population of 700). These moutains are approx. 11 500 feet tall. We flew over the most northern geographical point in Canada. The launching point of most famous north pole explorers. Every inlet, every bay carries the name of some brave people. This is a gorgeous and harsh corner of the world. It is one I was lucky to return from after having an engine failure in a single engine plane.
