Bike Across Florida 2008 (Cocoa Beach to Crystal River) - 166.9 miles
April 20th, 2008: The One-day, 167 mile, Bike Across Florida Adventure. The Bike ride starts 7 a.m. at the La Quinta Inn in Cocoa Beach and ends at Crystal River High School. The Bike Across Florida is considered to be the toughest single-day cycling tour in the U.S. Follow Rogers and Billy of PureBound.com on their adventure of Florida in a single day.
8.50 a.m.- Rogers: These were the first trees we saw since leaving Cocoa. Never knew how beautiful 25 miles of scrub pines and streams could be, despite the nascar drivers that passed us. I was just happy to be off SR 520. Even though we had a nice big shoulder to ride on, a few cars that passed us were riding the white line.
