On Monday, April 28, around 4:00pm there were a series of tornados in Virginia. A few of them hit my town. I have never experienced anything like this. I cannot explain what it felt like while walking through these neighborhoods and photo documenting the destruction that the tornados left behind. My family and I did not lose anything during this storm but I have a strong sense of empathy for those many families that did. Some families lost a few shingles and some lost their whole home and everything in it. After walking these neighborhoods, I want to do what I can to help. I am putting these photos up and a link to a foundation that is raising money to help the families affected.
