lensbaby shot. not thrilled with it but it's all i got for today. i always have problems with yellow being blown out ~ if you have any tips to avoid that i'd love to hear them. i think i've been told to underexpose, but in this case everything is pretty dark but the yellow water lily, so i don't understand.

yet another calla lily shot (yeah, i'm getting bored with all the flower shots ~ but love the convenience of just stepping out in my backyard and having a shot of something) this bloom looks like 2 grew into 1.

another shot from the botanical garden. i liked this lone sprig of purple flowers in with the brown dried up things ~ not sure if they are what is left after the purple blooms or what.

hydrangea is starting to bloom. i planted this on the side of the house in the front yard and i never go over there. today i realized i have never even watched it bloom. i should move it to the backyard where i would see it. i'm going to make a point to watch the blooms this year. i think they are supposed to change to a mauve color.

calla lily. overwintered this, which i'd never done before ~ so happy to see it starting to bloom.

oh!! i wish my composition was better on this :( i do love the light and shadow though. it's about all i got today, it was pretty grey (sun peeked out for a few seconds here) and chilly today.

krista > cooky avens ~ never seen or heard of it before. glad to have run across it though. i am too the point where the plants available at lowe's, home depot, walmart ~ i already have or have had and didn't like ~ so glad to find something out of the ordinary =)
