The most amazing place I have ever been to. My words can't do it justice so here are some facts:
Altitude - 2400m
Atacama desert - driest in the world
Salar de Atacama - 3rd largest salt lake in the world
Moon and death valleys - their names say it all
Altiplanic lagoons - lakes in the high (4100m ) Andean plateau
El Tatio Geysers - 80 active geysers at 4200m. Very, very cold at 6am
Loads and loads of cool restaurants, bars, cafes and artesans
Mountain bikes do not handle deep sand and steep, uphill slopes very well. I probably shouldn't have tried this in a place called Death Valley at noon in the Atacama Desert
