Crosses
While driving around the county - and the state...I noticed a variety and size of crosses in yards, on buildings, in cemetaries....these are photos of the ones I found most interesting, intriguing or just plain beautiful. For some I added verses which came to me...others are left as is...

I took this close-up photo of the nails in the feet of Christ because it really struck me that one of the last things Christ did for His disciples was to wash their feet. When He returned, Thomas (the doubting Thomas) did not want to see his feet - but to put his finger in the holes in Christ's hands or the hole in his side. Do we ever consider what it might be to fall at His feet and see the holes that might have been all the more painful - since the feet hold more nerves? To imagine Him writhing, pushing - secured to the tree with His weight bearing down constantly on these two points. Very sobering. (c) 2005 Photo by Becky Blanton
