I consider buildings to be a link to our past and a time line of America. I find beauty in the architecture of new and old. Form, function, elegance, sparking new, old and crumbling, fancy or plain. Doesn't matter. Of course the old buildings speak more to me since I wonder about past lives that lived or worked in them but the grand edifices of today hearken back to older design elements and it can be fun to absorb the art that is modern architecture.

Carnton Place in Franklin, Tennessee. A wonderful old home that was used as a Confederate hospital in the Civil War. There are still blood stains on the old wood floors in the grand mansion.
