Arusha is a town which is home to two main things - the UN war crime tribunals of Rwanda and the launching pad of all most Tanzanian Safari's. Consequently - it gathers people from many walks of life and from all over the world ! It is situated at about 4000 feet, below Mt Meru (15 000 feet) and Mt. Kilimanjaro (19 000 feet). The weather is always great due to the altitude, and the people are friendly (despite the regular African problems). I expect to be in Arusha on my days off (as it is our base).
