IZABLE the band
Springfield band IZABLE's most recent practice and photo shoot. The band plays cover songs, classic rock, country and a mix of popular favorites. The band's name comes from their philosophy of life, that if you put your mind to it, anything "Iz - do- able, believe- able, conceive -able," etc. So believe. The band will be the only live band performing at the Washington County Relay for Life event June 24. They'll play from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. It's late, but it's worth a listen.

 > Heather Buckler got her start singing karoke. Band member Andy Hicks - who didn't know the words to a song he was playing told her to "just sing it," and she did. The rest is history. (c) 2005 Photo by Becky Blanton. All rights reserved.

 > Anne Clayton is the oldest band member and "the mom." At age 52 she plays a mean keyboard. Band members told her she sounded "a little churchy" at first. "But the only place I played at the time WAS church," she explained. Now she's known to break into a little classic rock in between hymns on Sunday. "It's gone the other way," she laughs. > Kyle Hoppes started out just listening and watching the band. Two weeks later he began playing bass guitar and loving performing. (c) 2005 Photo by Becky Blanton. All rights reserved.
 > Andy Hicks plays lead guitar. He's come the closest to fame. His cousin is a famous song writer for many big country music stars - including The Oak Ridge Boys and Kenny Chesney. He's played in two or three bands prior to this one as well and once played on Beal Street in Memphis. He plays a wickedly wonderful lead.
