LINE OF DUTY DEATH OF
SENIOR FIREFIGHTER
WALTER HARRIS ENGINE CO. 23 The Detroit Fire Department suffered a tragic loss this morning (11-15-08). SFF Walter Harris was killed when the roof of a dwelling collapsed on him and another firefighter. Walter was a member of the class of March 1991. Almost having 18 years of service Walt was the best of the best. Not only did we lose a fellow Firefighter today, We lost a Brother, Friend, and Role Model for ALL young Firemen.
