Prior to our next visit to Cambodia we spent a week in Thailand

dannypam > We began this Asian trip with a long flight from Phoenix to Los Angeles to Bangkok. We arrived in Thailand at 6AM in the morning and after checking into our hotel and taking a nap we headed for the Chao Pyre river to see the sights from the local river tour boat.

dannypam > From the river we got a view of the Grand Palace, which was closed due a week long funeral for the Thai king's sister.

dannypam > The river was high and when we decided to make an exit at one of the docks. While stepping over a a rail and onto some sandbags Pam landed wrong on her right foot and broke a bone in her foot.

dannypam > She spent the rest of the trip using crutches and wheelchairs to get around, but she was a real trouper and didn't miss out on much.

dannypam > After Dad, Cheryl, Kay, and Melissa arrived we took an all day tour which included a stop at the Royal Summer Palace.

dannypam > The palace features all kinds of interesting buildings.

dannypam > The grounds are beautifully maincured.

dannypam > After the Summer Palace we stopped for an elephant ride.

dannypam > Kay and Melissa enjoy the view from top.
