These Limited Edition prints of STEAMBOATS OF THE WESTERN RIVERS were executed by Neal Finch in 1971. We have a limited supply available for sale for $21.95 per print. Each of 18 unique prints comes with a description of the boat, it's role and significance, and a 1" border. Each print measures 10x12", including the border. $21.95 per print.

 > John A Wood sternwheel towboat. Towboats carried 30 to 50,000 tons of coal at the turn of the century. A "tow" consists of several barges chained together. A towboat puses the "tow".
 > Government "snag boat" the John N. Macomb. Shown here in 1905, the snag boats removed floating trees and other debris. Booms capable of lifting 75 tons.
 > Mississippi, Army Corps of Engineers boat. This sternwheeler had the privilidge of transporting President Theodore Roosevelt in the Great Marine Parade in 1907. Here, the sternwheeler is drifting towards Eads Bridge in St. Louis.
 > City of St. Louis, 1883   St. Louis and New Orleans Anchor Line. Note the anchor between the smokestakes.
 > Spread Eagle IV, 1911. Eagle Packet Company out of St. Louis.
 > St. Paul, 1883. Built in Dubuque, Iowa, by the Diamond Jo Line. After 70 years on the river, the old sidewheeler was dismantled in 1953.
 > City of Providence, 1880. Built for the Anchor Line for the St. Louis-Natchez trade. The widewheeler measured 273.7 x 44.5 x 7.8'
 > Robert E Carr, was a little steam tug. The utilitanarian duties of this class included breaking up and assembling tows, collecting derlicts, disabled packetboats.
