When looking at a full moon, I often wonder about its closeness to our earth. It is our nearest solar neighbor. Many of us don’t realize when it appears in the night sky except for a few times each month when it reaches its fullness and brightness.

I was able to take advantage of this time of lunar exposure. By placing the moon in a photograph with a nighttime street scene or the carnival nightlife I gave it a surrealistic presence.
