My name is David Anthony Villanueva AKA DAV. My story is simple...

I grew up in Rosemead, CA. Don't know where that is? I always say, 15 minutes south of Pasadena. Now you know. Raised by wonderful parents who were always supportive and encouraging and was a pain in the ass little brother to my two sisters whom I love dearly! Had dreams to become a collegiate basketball player and found out that wasn't where I was supposed to be.

Attended UCI, graduated with a BS in Biological Sciences, met my awesome wife, and worked for a Pharmaceutical Company for a couple of years. Got extremely bored and knew that there was something far more to it.

Moved to the Bay Area, attended the same Graduate School as the wife in San Francisco (coincidence? NAW), became an RN, got a job as an ICU RN and as a chemotherapy infusion RN, got engaged, bought a new home, and somewhere in between got addicted to PHOTOGRAPHY.

As I stated in the guestbook, I'm a "newby" to the photography world, but I'm definitely on the path to become somewhat skilled in this wonderful ART. I love shooting, but I hate being critiqued by my wife who claims to have a waaaay better "eye" heheheheh. I do however, appreciate her critiques because I think she has made me a "better" photographer. Not only that, but as a man, friend, and husband.

My days are busy as an RN, but I always find the time to pick up the rig to take snapshots here and there. So what's the next dream DAV has?!?! It's simple...I want to be a full-time photographer. Would love to specialize in modeling and would love to "perfect" strobist techniques. Will it come true? Who knows, but I'm most definitely gonna give it a try.
