Twice a month I volunteer at
Valley Forge National Historic Park as a historic interpreter. Basically, that amounts to me dressing up in a Colonial outfit and telling people about the history surrounding the encampment that took place there in 1777-1778. It's a lot of fun but some days it is rather slow while on others we seems to have a steady stream of visitors. I do enjoy bringing my camera with me and taking pictures during the quieter times.
UPDATE: The area around Washington's HQ is scheduled to be reopened to the public on Memorial Day Weekend. On May 10, volunteers were given a walkthrough of the area and quite a lot of changes had been made: a new parking lot was put in and the train station has been completely renovated. We didn't get to go inside Headquarters but from the outside it sure looked nice.
