No relief for the cold sufferer!
KBrooke > December 17 2009
First attempt at a collage. Definitly not what I intended. I wanted a filmstrip type look but I couldn't get it to happen, I think what I'm looking to do must be a specific program of some type.
John: Thank you for the advice but I couldn't get it to work for me and I lost my patience last night :) I will try again this weekend!
So here is my ugly creation, I actually really dislike it border line HATE it as did Roo with her bath! The face she makes in the last picture is the same face I make when I look at this project!
But unless you try you won't ever know right?!
Here is another picture I took of our after bath experience which I think is halirious.. I wanted to use this as my post for the day but I took it with my blackberry and it's very grainy... I couldn't fix it up any better than I did here...http://kbrooke.smugmug.com/gallery/7595438_aeZaE#742837548_b8jvi

OUr after bath moment... Roo and I decided to take a breather and read... and of course it had to be martha stewart's living magazine that we got in the mail that day... I mean after all we are "good girls"!!!
The funny bit is, even though she looks like she's looking at me she actually is "reading" the page opposite my page and funny enough it was about a homemade travel dog bed!
This was taken with my blackberry so this is why the picture is NOT very wonderful but this picture makes me laugh :)

This was the shot right before yesterday's selective coloring shot that I posted! Right before C-bear decided to untie Amie's pretty green ribbon. I left this one black and white b/c I thought using selective coloring with the green ribbon might take away from Connor's face as she's looking up at her momma! And it's such a sweet face!!
I have one more photo that I adore from this shoot that I did that I might post tomorrow! We'll see! Thank you all for your comments on yesterday's photo!!
OH. P.S.
I'm looking for a way to do an eiditing/creation trick. I've seen it done before but I can't find a way to do it on any of my editing programs yet (not CS4, not adobe photoshop elements 6 etc) but if anyone knows... help!! It looks like a photobooth effect or a filmstrip. Three or four pictures side by side yet divided like you could get at a photobooth. If you know where I can do this let me know!!! Thanks!!

Selective coloring! I have had this quest (really that's the best word for me to use) for the knowledge of selective coloring and recently I found out how to do this little trick. I've asked around and I've found cheater ways to do this but I finally mustered up and bought a nice editing program (well Aaron helped) and I sat through tutorial after tutorial, and google and after google and finally found a way that was easy enough for me to understand and complete!!
I'm proud of myself and very happy... even if it's not professional or even "good" by anyone else's standards! I finally am able to do it! YAY!!!
I took some maternity shots of my friend Amie and her little girl and I got some really precious shots... well lucked into some precious shots is more like it. This is one of them. Connor had a good time untying that ribbon although we'll see how much fun she has when she realizes what she was really untying when Cooper's born! :)

Will this be there anymore?
This is part of the Lynnhaven pier... where I take a lot of pictures and a lot of potraits for friends and families. It's one of my favorite spots. We had a nor'easter the past few days and a portion of this pier has blown away~!
I haven't been down to see it yet b/c the flooding was a bit too bad but hopefully I have some pictures soon!!!

You reap what you sew?
Add some color to your day!!!
This was actually a part of the maternity shoot I did this past weekend. We needed to perform a bit of surgery on our own for one of the wraps we used!!! Good thing Jennifer's always prepared... we mended and created in the car prior to walking in the sand!
This shots takes on a different meaning for me though and reminds me that you create your world so it's only as colorful, fun, happy, bright, and beautiful etc... as you make it!! SO hope you add some creativity to yours today!
KBrooke > 11-09-09.... last of the warmer sunny photo weather days.... winter is approaching!
Been gone for a while and now I'm back. My cute adorable little puppy/monster chewed through my computer cord... I heard this little sizzle and a yelp one day as I was working on some photos and then the computer screen went blank. LOVe the puppy stage.
This was taken just this weekend down at the beach. The water is getting VERY chilly but still managed to get some beautiful pictures down there. Another one of my girlfriends is pregnant so we hopped on over to the beach to get some belly pictures and she was such a great sport about playing in the freezing water. I managed to take a few pier shots before we started!

The joy of being a child in the loving arms of a parent! So safe, so trusting and so loved.... this is from the same shoot as the past two posts....
Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments on my photo post for yesterday! That photo was my absolute favorite out of this shoot I did for my friend... I liked it but wasn't sure how it looked to others and I appreicate all your comments and feedback. I take all the help I can get because that is the only way I will grow into a better "photographer"... it's the only way I will learn to catch a different angle or a different glimpse!
THANKS TO MY SMUG MUG FAMILY!
