On Thursday March 26, 2009 around 16:45hrs. Brookline Ma. Fire Dept struck box 271 for a possible basement fire at 59 Naples Road. 1st due companies reported smoke showing on arrival from the basement and C-2 reported fire showing shortly after he arrived. A 2nd alarm was struck and companies went to work. I arrived behind Boston Car-5 with moderate smoke showing from a large 2.5 story wood-frame 30x50. Interior companies reported the heavy fire in the basement was knocked down but the fire extended to the upper floors and was in the walls. The oic special called for an extra ladder truck (Cambridge Ladder-1) to the scene a couple of minutes before the Chief struck the 3rd alarm.
