"Milton's new stadium scored big with fans
On a perfect September Friday evening, the Milton Eagles played their first home game in the new home to a packed house of enthusiastic fans.
With the scent of booster club hamburgers and hotdogs wafting through the air, soul-stirring music from the band and a roaring crowd, the Eagles made it clear trespassing teams from Region 5-AAAAA would tread at their own risk in this aerie.
Cherokee High School was the first opponent to invade the new artificial-turfed field, and The Milton Eagles provided a fitting ending to the evening by winning 24-17.
The 2005 undefeated Milton High School (Women) lacrosse team members were given their championship rings at halftime ceremonies.
But in the end, it was the fans who enjoyed the evening the most, at their new school and at their new stadium."
