When I was a teenager, I invented a little cartoon character and named him Melvin. Melvin has a Dad whose job is to beat the shit out of him... sometimes as fast as possible (I only had about 15 frames to set up the situation, have Melvin do something dumb or innocent, then have his Dad completely destroy him).
Melvin was completely fed-up with being told what to do by his Dad, so he just went nuts, knowing what normally happens at the end of a confrontation.
