We are growing again! Phat Ratt Photo just opened it's third independent office and Franchise serving Southern Colorado.

2009-10-19 Pueblo, Co. Ripple's road trip is paying off.
We are pleased to announce the opening of our newest office in Pueblo Co. by Michelle. She will be learning from and have the support of 'Tim' who has been shooting events in this area part time, due to demands of his day job, for over a year now. Together they will be building a team of Photographers and sales assistants to better cover southern Colo events from Castle Rock to the NM border and east to west including Durango events.
They are already off to a great start by shooting the cops vs bikers football game in Pueblo on 2009-10-24. Check out the new Phat Ratt Photography Southern Colorado web site. and check out their BIO's. and some of their photos from the past. Note: We are having a few technical problems getting started so be patient we will get them fixed in no time.
This office also has the option of taking over the NM territory which includes Red River run on Memorial day weekend and 4 Corners on Labor day weekend as well. Lets give them our support and help raise money for the local charities in the southern part of the state now too! please let them know of all events in their territory that you attend so they can cover them for you.
They will also be looking to hire part time photographers, assistants and sales persons right away. So if you know of a biker with a DSLR camera or anyone interested in working on the team on events they could use the help. All you need is to be PC literate and have a desire to work in a sometimes fast moving event. income varies based on money earned for the specific event worked.

2009-10-26 Denver, Co.: For Sale: Phat Ratt's oldest office, Denver metro / Central Colorado, is looking for a new Owner/leader.

Yes that's right, with Ripple out on the road testing new markets and opening new franchises we need someone to take over the oldest and most well established territory, the Denver metro and central Colorado territory.
Hundreds of events, year round, established customer base, documented list of gigs exand exactly how to shoot them takes the guess work out. Poker runs every weekend, big parade rides, Studio and retail operation potential at Top Gun Motorsports.
This a great opportunity for the right person. Must be aggressive and able to shoot every weekend both days as well as spend a significant number of hours each week planning and assigning gigs to the rest of the part time staff already in place. Must be a seasoned biker first, photographer and business man second. must be able to work hours needed to meet deadlines and keep staff and events covered as committed. Must be PC, network, internet, web site, and photo processing literate if not expert. Work with and support adjacent territories. Able to train new staff members and maintain and grow the existing customer base and biz to biz relationships.
This office is also the initial test area for new ideas so creativity, flexibility, an open mind and ability to adapt to and make changes to a new line of business is also needed.
Experience in and Creative ideas are needed to build and test the concept of retail and studio space. develop and test new ideas designed to increase retail and studio interest and generate enough traffic and revenue to offset expense and be profitable in this area by end of 2010.
Experience in setting up a Sales campaign and program is also required as this office is slated to do the initial development of on-line advertising package, web development, and full training documentation to be added as turn key system to the current franchise package by end 2011.

Successful Biker owned Business owners wanted for advisory board.

Ripple's road trip resulted in one new office the first week and the potential for another one the second week already.
This indicates a greater interest in our nitch biker photography market outside of the Denver/Co area than initially predicted. This raises concern that once word gets out we may not be able to keep up with the demand for new offices resulting on failed or lost markets or creating our own competition by not getting them on board when they are ready.
We need to manage the franchise and training packages as well as growth rate properly or we could lose control and the lead we currently have in the market place.
We see the need for a solid business person to take the lead as we expand nation wide but until that person if found we would like to begin forming a Business Advisory Board (BAb) staffed with experienced and successful bikers who own or run their own businesses already. All with proven track records of success in new and innovative, high tech markets and willing to help steer the company in the proper direction and maintain an even keel.
Areas of expertise we need include but not limited to updating and reviewing business plan annually, management of franchises, growth rate, strategic planning and long term goal setting, evaluating new lines of business, refining franchise package and training programs, assistance in obtaining financing for capitol equipment used for Rallies, funding of special projects and new franchisees, organizing business structure to be effective with minimal staff and core business operations such as HR, Legal, Accounting and taxes.
Sorry but we feel that even at this level you must understand the biker market and therefor must be a biker to help us grow. So Please, No stuffed shirts right out of college or third party companies offering to save us for the up front price of way too high to not laugh at. Old timers with feet on ground only.

2009 Emily Keyes Parade ride, sales are in, donation is being made.

Based on the first two months after the "2009 Emily Keyes parade ride" we are proud to announce that Phat Ratt Photo will be making it's standard 20% off the top donation to the "I Love You Guys" foundation in the amount of dollars. It does not seem like much but it's that much more that they would not have if it was not for you all buying prints that made it possible. Thanks to everyone who purchased and contributed to the cause and lets hope for a better year next year. If you did not purchase your print yet, dont let this announcement stop you. All that changes is that we will not make the donation from any further sales. We had to draw the line somewhere to determine our donation and 2 months is typical for the initial rush of sales from an event like this. Picts are still available for purchase from any of the 300+ galleries and 70,000+ pictures taken over the past 4 years and posted on line. Ya we are still here and kicking ass! Why? Because of our "everyone wins" business model. Customer gets photo at reasonable price, charity gets 20% of sales, sponsors get free publicity on our web site and via photos, Event gets repeat business via the photo memory and we make enough to pay for expenses and a few extra for ourselves and families. No one leaves feeling they got screwed. That is why we are doing so well and will continue to do so for years to come.
