These are photographs of the herpetofauna we encountered during our trip to Costa Rica in June, 2009. Animals were photographed as found (except where noted).

twanto > Ground anole, Norops humilis, near Volcán Arenal.

twanto > Agalychnis callidryas, the red-eyed leaf frog. The frogs typically are higher in the canopy and only come closer to the ground to breed.
