2005-10 Ringha Trek #1
Day 3 of our trip, this one with our first trek - on horseback, starting from the Banyan Tree Ringha, in Shangri-La, in China.

> This is the view from the front of our lodge/villa, in the early morning.
> The place is really up amongst the clouds as you can see in this photo. The units in the foreground are other lodges in the Banyan Tree Ringha
> When we went for our horse trek, our group had another three Singaporeans who had, smartly, taken the gingko biloba thingaming for two weeks before coming to Ringha, and thereby avoided most altitude sickness symptoms.
> The vistas were all very peaceful and quiet. Pigs, yaks, goats, horses pepper the scene.
> JN on her horse. No, the horse is not that small, the distortion is because of the ultra-wide angle lens I used.
> The horse handlers had backpacks chock-a-block filled with first aid stuff, including oxygen tank for severe altitude sickness situations.
> Horses grazed freely.
> The plains were just huge and goes on for as far as the eye can see.
> The horses were very tame (at least most of them were) and well behaved. The handlers also helped greatly of course.
