2005-10 Ringha Trek #2
This is the second horseback trek we went for, to the Tsalong Village. It was a long journey, not least because a good deal of it was on foot, down a hill covered with pine trees.

 > We set off on our 2nd Horseback Trek at 9:30 am
 > There was less cloud cover so the skies were even bluer than before
 > We passed the same houses that we had passed by during the first trek
 > The locals viewed us with a mix of curiousity and bemusement
 > "Do Give Me That Crap" - collection of animal manure into the basket, for collation in mega piles which, because of the humidity and temperature, do not actually smell much (although I did not exactly shove my nose right up to the piles to test!)
 > We crossed into a large plain, with dozens (probably hundreds) of grazing critters.

 > These small buildings are work huts where farmers in the day although it appears that they don't actually sleep there.
 > We approached one, and heard singing from within. Our guide said it was because she was churning yak butter.
