We approached one, and heard singing from within. Our guide said it was because she was churning yak butter.

This is the second horseback trek we went for, to the Tsalong Village. It was a long journey, not least because a good deal of it was on foot, down a hill covered with pine trees.

> There was less cloud cover so the skies were even bluer than before
