2005-10 Ringha Trek #2

This is the second horseback trek we went for, to the Tsalong Village. It was a long journey, not least because a good deal of it was on foot, down a hill covered with pine trees.

> And saw the stove and other paraphernalia in the little work hut.

> She explained to us that it takes her about 1.5 hrs each day to churn the milk to get it to curdle and form the cheese/butter.

> We then journeyed upwards into a hill or more accurately up a ridge. We travelled up slope on horseback. But after a while, the horses seemed to be struggling a bit with their footing - the ground was loose and it was kinda scary as the drop on the other side was quite substantial.

> So after reaching about the midpoint, we left the horses and the handlers, and walked on foot with the guide. The next photo includes arrows showing where we were headed to...

> This is the same as the previous photo, but it shows where we stopped for lunch, and the house in Tsalong that we visited some time after this photo was taken. There is another similar photo taken from the Tsalong house, back up to this hill.

> We were headed to the village Tsalong, in the right of the picture here.

> We stopped for lunch at a field which in summer would have been replete with flowers but currently only had the occasional splash of colour.

So we paid her a visit...
