Bidwell Mansion: As I mentioned last time I wrote, Paula Beehner is the photographer artist who was commissioned to create the perfect picture that Marilyn Warrens had envisioned for her puzzle. Congratulations, Paula!

A word about Paula Beehner: I am calling her Chico's town chronicler. This amazing dynamo of a person is all over town taking pictures and documenting a huge range of events, human and natural. Some of you already have been to her web site to see pictures of the Palio, but do go look at it and look at some of her other albums. It is no accident that she is being featured in this month's issue of Empirical magazine. You can find the periodical at Lyon Books; the puzzle is prominently displayed all over the place, as the ER tells us.
