Bill reinstalled the head and filled the cylinder cavity with penetrating oil. Bill adapted an old spark plug to allow pressurised air to aid penetration of the oil.

Some corrosion. However, it cleans off easily with a brass brush.

The inside of the crankcase looks clean. The oil pickup screen has a coating of sludge which cleaned up easily.

After waiting a week for the penetrating oil to work, it is decided to apply additional pressure with a "swinging press" to remove the stuck piston.
