Aswan to Abu Simbel in the convoy 06/2009The collective IQ of the Egyptian homeland security team must be in the single digits. Anybody can join the convoy along the road without any checks. This is not a convoy but a race of individual cars and buses with speeds of to 160 km/h (100 mph) through the night on a 2 lane road.
