Green-winged Teal (click on image to see large version)
Took this photo in january, but have just got around to processing it. Photo was taken at the Viera Click ponds (Florida). Hundreds of these birds where in the area, but they were very spooky. Any time you approached the ywould move to the center of the impoundment well out of range of even the longest lens. In order to get close I set up, prior to sunrise, in a natural blind and waited. It eventually paid off when this Male Green-winged Teal and others came in real close. I though this shot was unique because you can see the bubbles created by him expelling air from his nares.
