Near Carl's Corner, Texas

This is part of the scene where I shot the 'Dedicated Jeeper' that I posted on Sunday. You can see him a little bit, behind the gas pump on the left. This was such a neat place. My husband and I both saw it at the same time, and made a quick U-ee to go back. What you don't see in the photo is the 10' tall wildlife fence that surrounds the place. I was able to stick my camera thru the largish openings in the fence to get an unobstructed view. I'd have loved to poke around a bit, but my fence climbing days are long over. For those who are wondering, in Texas it's quite common for landowners to put high fences around their property. Deer leases are a pricy commodity, and the fences are more for keeping the deer in, than they are for keeping anyone out. Although they work pretty well for that, too. I would love to try some star shots at night here!

Thanks for all the comments on yesterday's Mattress Hauler shot! That's one of those things that even when you see it, you still can't quite believe it!!
