The ruined tower
This tower is all that remains of a ruined church called Burgh St Mary which is a listed building.
There are lots of ruined churches, abbeys etc around here. Access to the ruin is via an extremely muddy farm track, then you have to fight your way through the overgrown woodland to reach the remains. Was hard to get to because of the mud and the thickness.
Someone had put this chair there. I didn't like it at first, and moved it out of the way, but then decided it added interest as you might contemplate why someone was sitting there and why the chair had been brought in. Luckily there was no rubbish or graffiti in sight.
Here is what the tower looks like from the road. But it's a lot harder to get to than we thought. To walk back, we went across the farmer's field which was a bit naughty.
