What a fun shoot! I got up bright and early this morning, loaded up the car, and drove an hour to shoot a short film about cats. The crew was fantastic and we all had a great time. We even managed to wrap a couple of hours early! I thought I might be able to make it to Dan’s Silverleaf in time to see my brother and sister perform a Red Death show. After driving an hour and unloading my gear at the house, I was literally crossing the Square on Hickory when they finished their set. SO CLOSE! At least I got to visit with ‘em. My people were there too, as well as a whole slew of people I know. Hanging out at the bar made me feel super Denton-connected today.
As it got later in the evening, it was time for dinner! I ate with my peeps and the McReynolds next door at Tex Tapas. The food was great, and the conversation was...interesting. After a few drinks we dove into politics. Long story short, I called Treva a racist and she told me Bernie Sanders has never accomplished anything. And somehow it was a perfectly friendly and fun conversation! Those peeps are a trip, man.
