It's not a unique concept, but it's a great idea. A collection of 4 ounce sampler glasses with everything on tap for a bit more than the cost of about one and a half full pints. Figure out what you like and don't. Then drink what you like and don't forget to fill a 32 or 64 ounce jug, called a growler, with your favorite so you can keep on enjoying your favorite at home during the week.
North Country Hard Cider has a winning collection of ciders. Only 5 minutes from home, I can see that I may stop here a couple times during the summer and fall months to see what else they decide to cook up. I like their approach to brewing and food as medicine.
Beware, combining holistic healing foods with apple cider?! Some might call it modern witchcraft, but I think it's just plain common sense, and just another way to change the world in a small local way. Who needs another prescription when Granny Smith's medicine is flowing, healthy, and doesn't require a visit to the doctor?
